12 year-old David broadcasts for TodayFM

David O'Sullivan from Mitchelstown met Mario Rosenstock and head of News at Today FM, Sinead Spain, when he visited the Today FM studios as part of 'In our Ireland's Little Radio Reporters' competition.

12-year-old David O’Sullivan from Mitchelstown got to record his very own news report on national radio in the TodayFM Studios as part of Starcamps ‘In our Ireland’s Little Radio Reporters’ competition’.

David who attends Glenahulla National School was one of five children chosen from over 200 Starcamps from all over the country. He travelled to the Today FM studios last Tuesday to record his news report and met the famous Mario Rosenstock.

The 6th class student is a huge sports fan and hopes to be a sports reporter in the future. Already able to call the likes of Marty Morrissey, Darragh Moloney and Óisin Langan his friends, David is well on his way to achieving his goal of being a sports presenter.

David currently plays hurling an football with Ballygblin and Mitchelstown GAA clubs and is also a huge rugby and soccer fan.

After recording his first news report with Today FM, David is now hoping to get some air-time on Kildorrery Radio.
