At just four years old, Darragh Collins from Kilworth, has wowed Munster rugby fans from all over Ireland and the globe, as a video of him singing 'Stand up and fight' has gotten more than 1,000 Likes.

Captured by his dad Brian in Thomand Park, when Munster played Edinburgh on January 19, the video which can be viewed on the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Facebook page and also his mum Lorna's page, shows the little tyke singing his heart out, completely unaware that his dad is filming it.

Lorna told The Avondhu, that the reaction to the video has been great, while Brian added that even though the minimum age for rugby mascots is six, they are hoping that a special request might be put in for Darragh, as it would be his dream come true to be that close to his idols.

Both of them were amazed by the reaction to it, with friends, strangers, players and people involved with the Munster rugby team all commenting on the video.

"He's Munster mad and obsessed with Munster rugby and a friend in Melbourne even contacted me to say she'd seen the video of Darragh online," Lorna said.

Speaking about Darragh's love for rugby, Lorna said that herself and her husband Brian are also big rugby fans, have season tickets and they try to get to as many matches as they can.

"Darragh eats, drinks and sleeps Munster rugby," she said, adding that instead of reading Darragh nursery rhymes before beds, he likes to have the programmes from matches read to him.

Darragh told The Avondhu that Paul O'Connell is his favourite player, while Lorna added that Paul reminds Darragh of the Hulk.

Speaking about why the video took off, Lorna said that it clearly wasn't staged and was completely natural, as Darragh was so engrossed in the song that he didn't even see Brian recording him.

There is also another video of Darragh and his younger sister Aoife singing 'Stand up and fight', as Darragh strums on his toy guitar, so given the reaction so far to the little man's vocal rendition, let's hope that the avid fan gets to meet some of the stars from the pitch in the near future.
