Watergrasshill residents to take water issue to Brussels

Members of the community in Watergrasshill are due to meet with European Environmental Secretariat in a meeting to be arranged by MEP Sean Kelly, in relation to the natural spring water at Meenane which the residents feels has been neglected by Irish Water. 

The residents also fear that Irish Water intend to cease the utilisation of the spring water for the Watergrasshill supply in the future.

In a statement to The Avondhu in early November, Irish Water claimed that they detected cryptosporidium in the water supply in August and September of this year.
