A public meeting is to be held in Mitchelstown on the evening of Thursday, January 25th, aiming to consolidate the tourism offerings of the surrounding area and figure out how to ‘package’ the many qualities of the region.
Through the local community council, the meeting is the first one to be held for the scheme and is being facilitated by Ciara O’Brien and Liz Downes. Ciara, who is currently embarked on a renovation of Barnahown House on the Clonmel Road, spoke with The Avondhu on what the group’s aims are: to work out ‘the best way to showcase everything we have’.
“How would we bring it all together? I don’t know what the answer is, but the reason for the get-together is to ask, what should we be doing? How do you package Mitchelstown?”
