Following an Emergency Management Team meeting at UCC this morning it has been decided to end classes/labs etc. today (Wednesday, February 28) at 3pm.
Staff may leave early, as necessary, from 3pm to ensure their safe return home. The University will be closed from 6pm this evening – all night classes will be cancelled and UCC will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, March 1st due to anticipated worsening weather conditions overnight.
A decision about whether or not the University will open on Friday will be taken at lunchtime tomorrow and an email will be issued to all students and staff on Thursday by 2pm at the latest.

The University hopes that all staff and students stay safe during the extreme cold weather and heed the advice of Met Éireann and local authorities.
