Trees lining the entrance to the Queen of Peace Church on the northside of Fermoy have been removed this week in the interest of health and safety.
Fermoy parish contacted Inland Fisheries Ireland, who have a base in Fermoy near the church, to carry out the work as the trees were in danger of falling and incurring an accident.
The trees were removed throughout Monday and Tuesday of this week.
