Toyota, Ireland’s best-selling electrified car brand has announced its partnership with WellFest 2022 as the official car sponsor of the annual wellness festival.
The health and wellness event, which is now in its seventh year, will see Toyota host a dedicated chill-out area where attendees can relax and enjoy a sound bath* and a series of meditation sessions across the weekend. Chloe McHugh of Sonas Sounds will create an immersive sonic experience, guiding a journey through mindful meditation combined with healing sound.
Committed to making a positive difference for its consumers, Toyota is inviting attendees to take part in the uniquely restorative activation, which is designed to give time to rest, soothe the nervous system, and enliven the senses. Attendees are encouraged to come along and enjoy a period of relaxation across the two-day event.
Toyota is also the proud sponsor of the WellMind stage at this year’s festival. Toyota ambassador and mental health advocate, Niall Breslin will be on hand to provide an inspiring ‘well-mind’ talk on Sunday, 8th May.
The WellMind stage will provide a full schedule of talks from an impressive lineup of psychology and wellness experts. From mental health and psychology to brain health and breathwork, attendees are guaranteed to walk away feeling uplifted, inspired, and empowered.
Highlighting its latest innovations in the hybrid and electric powertrain space, Toyota will showcase its latest models at WellFest, including the bZ4X – Toyota’s first battery electric model. Committed to creating a better future for all generations and championing low emission vehicles, the Toyota team will be on hand over the weekend to discuss the importance of hybrid electric technology and moving towards a more sustainable motoring landscape.
Commenting on the partnership, Zoe Bradley, Head of Marketing Communication at Toyota Ireland, said: “We are delighted to announce that Toyota Ireland is the official car partner for Ireland’s leading health and wellness event, WellFest. As Europe’s largest outdoor health, fitness, and wellness festival, we believe there are natural synergies with our brand promise, Built for a Better World.
“WellFest’s ethos is to encourage a healthier, mindful, and sustainable way of life and we at Toyota are committed to creating a better future for all; from our market leading ‘Face it down’ app to facilitating more sustainable choices by offering the widest range of hybrid-electric vehicles in Ireland.
“We continue our mission to create a more environmentally sustainable future by offering a wider choice of mobility solutions for motorists including self-charging hybrid, plug in hybrid and electric vehicles. We believe that through this partnership we can continue to make a meaningful difference for the people of Ireland.
“We invite attendees to check out our host of leading hybrid electric vehicles, as well as the new bZ4X at the event where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the range and be in with the chance of winning a selection of exciting prizes including a trip to lough Erne. We look forward to welcoming all attendees across the weekend.”
Now in its seventh year, WellFest in association with Gym+Coffee, is Europe’s largest outdoor health, fitness, and wellness festival. Attracting up to 10,000 people over the course of the weekend, the event features more than 150 health and wellness experts from Ireland and abroad across over 15 different stages and areas, such as WellMind, WellTalk, WellFood, and WellYoga.
This year’s festival will take place at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on 7th and 8th of May 2022. Headliners include health and fitness phenomenon Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, and doctor, mental health advocate and former ‘Love Island’ star Dr Alex George.
Helena Ryan, Co-founder of WellFest said: “We’re delighted to partner with Toyota as our official car partner and WellMind area partner for this year’s festival. While Toyota is best known for its leading market position with a range of hybrid electric vehicles, it is also entirely committed to creating a better world for our generation and beyond. Given its strong credentials in the sustainability space, we are delighted to have them on board as part of this year’s festival.
“Having taken the event online during the pandemic, we are really looking forward to returning to the fields of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham this May – bigger and better than ever before.
“Nothing beats the buzz of the weekend at WellFest and it’s important for us that we make sure we are putting on the best event possible, with new areas, partners, presenters and surprises for attendees and this year’s event is shaping up to be our best yet.”
