An extremely busy, but ultimately, very successful weekend for Hillfest organisers in Kildorrery, as they hosted 3 nights of top notch entertainment.
The festival progamme kicked off on Thursday night last with a Derby Race Night featuring MC, Micky Quinn. While the weekend proper was all about tribute bands, with ABBA and Garth Brooks fans treated to the music of these best selling artists.
DANCING QUEENS & KINGS OF ‘ABBAESQUE’
ABBAESQUE were the big attraction on Friday night, with a fine crowd paying in to hear the hits that dominated the charts for much of the late ’70s and early ’80s. The fact that most of those in attendance weren’t born when ABBA burst on to the international scene following a performance of ‘Waterloo’ at the 1974 Eurovision in England, was of no consequence, as fans sang and danced the night away in the Hillfest marquee.
