‘The SpongeBob Musical’ set to rock Mitchelstown Leisure Centre

Readers passing through The Square, Mitchelstown, after dark these evenings, can’t but spot the large light projection. This proclaims ‘The SpongeBob Musical’ will run at Mitchelstown Leisure Centre from 19th-22nd March (tickets €20 on opening night).

This is not just a simple show based on the popular cartoon series. Underestimate it, at your peril. ‘The SpongeBob Musical’ is for all ages. It’s an uplifting, heartfelt story about friendship and the power of community. It has really stunning visuals and captivating music and dance routines.

The committee of management of Mitchelstown Musical Society, cast and production team, have been pulling out all the stops. The 2025 musical is set to be the most spectacular show they have staged to date. It will be a truly stellar event, so do not miss it!

For your information, evening performances will run from 7.30pm-10pm, so regardless of which night you choose to attend, you will have ample time for an early night or a post-show tipple!

The Musical Society will be well represented at the upcoming St Patrick’s Day parade. They will proudly follow their long standing, much valued member, Pat Lambe, who has been given the honour of grand marshal.
