Friday, October 28th was a very special day in Bishop O’Brien National School, Bartlemy, when Deputy Principal Mr. Paudy Walsh retired after 37 years of teaching in the school.

Paudy started his career in 1985 in the old school in Hightown and when the school opened here in Bartlemy village he made the move and never looked back. He has built great relationships within the school community and in his latter years, he went on to teach the 2nd generation of families in the area.

On Thursday the school celebrated Mr. Walsh’s retirement with a beautiful mass in Bartlemy church.
