‘The Friends of St. Mary’s Church, Castletownroche’ – a support group established to assist with ongoing maintenance and upgrading work at this historic landmark – hosted a very successful fundraising supper in Castletownroche Community Centre last Friday evening.

The group have held similar events previously, however, this was the best supported to date, with 106 patrons paying €20 each to attend. Attendees certainly got value for money with several courses of fine food being served.

There was a queuing system in operation, which worked well. Special guests included Rev. Meurig Williams, along with public representatives, Cllr Frank Roche and Cllr Frank O’Flynn.
