As the music blasted out from Supermacs in Mitchelstown on Sunday, November 9th, courtesy of DJ Justin Finn, it was hard not to get caught up in the fun atmosphere being created by the ever popular fun day.
The event was a way for Meg and Tim Luddy to give back to their customers and those who have consistently supported them with a free fun day and there was lots on offer to keep people of all ages entertained.
While Justin provided the music and had people up and down the street celebrating the fun day, mascots were out in force doling out treats and sweets and there was a host of activities ongoing in Supermacs.
One of the most exciting for many of the children was the opportunity to get involved in a process that is usually behind the counter - they got to go upstairs and make and bake their own pizza! There was also face painting, a balloon artist, a colouring competition, giant games and lots of fun.
"This is our way to give back to the customers who are constantly loyal to us," Meg told The Avondhu.
She added that they always hold a fun day between September and Christmas and rather than holding it just before kids were due to return to school, they opted for last Sunday as it's a nice time just after Halloween and before the Christmas mania really sets in.
Meg also thanked all those that contributed to the Team Hope Shoebox Christmas Appeal,as part of the local campaign 140 boxes were lovingly filled and handed in to Supermac's for the appeal and will help make many boys and girls happier this festive season in Africa and Eastern Europe, well done everyone.
