The sudden death has taken place on Thursday, July 16 of Fr Peter Hegarty SPS, at his home place in Coolagown, Fermoy.

A priest with St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow and formerly of the Diocese of Mzuzu, Malawi, Fr Peter leaves behind his sisters Sheila (O’Brien), Breda (O’Flynn), Carmel (O’Connor), Emily (Jackson), Jo (McDonagh), Mary (Higgins), Ann (Hally), Bernadette (Ahern) and Angela (O’Regan) and his brothers Matt, David, John, Frank and Henry and his Society family.

Due to Government restrictions the Funeral will be private.

Funeral Mass on Monday, July 20 at 11 am in St Mary’s Church, Coolagown.

Burial later in the Society Cemetery, Kiltegan.

May he rest in peace.
