As the beginning of the school year approaches, 11 children in the Kildinan area are left without school transport to Rathcormac National School as the bus is full.
Cllr William O’Leary drew attention to the issue this week, saying that to his knowledge, this is the first time the issue has ever been encountered in the area.
“Generations of the same families have gotten the bus to school in Rathcormac; it’s part of the same parish, and they play with Bride Rovers. The school bus is full, and it’s very disheartening to see this happen on my own backdoor.”
