Things are starting to get busy at our local golf courses. Last week, it was the turn of Mitchelstown Golf Club to host their own classic – this is the club’s main fundraiser.

Thanks to a concerted effort, the event generated a lot of interest which was reflected in a near record turnout.

Conditions were perfect and some excellent scores were recorded. Held over two days (Thursday & Friday), the prizegiving took place last Friday evening. There was a fine crowd in attendance, with an array of prizes distributed to the golf classic winners and those who entered the golf classic draw.
