Storm Isha: People have ‘absolutely no business being out’

Local councillors in Tipperary this week criticised members of the public who were leaving the house unnecessarily during Storm Isha last Sunday, pointing out the unnecessary dangers that they were putting themselves in, as well as any council staff who would need to be called to work in such conditions.

Cllr Andy Moloney made the admonishments, saying that people ‘had absolutely no business being out’.

“We can’t be sending staff out to clear roads; people need to stay in”.
