Fermoy Gardaí detected this speed in Rathcormac at 6am on last Friday, August 2.
The driver was travelling at a speed of 73 km/h in a 50 zone in dense fog.
An Garda Siochana uged drivers to be aware that other road users, especially pedestrians and cyclists are more vulnerable in foggy conditions.
