Local TD Seán Sherlock has praised the entrepreneurial spirit of Mitchelstown with the opening of the new 8 Degrees Brewery.
“The ethos and success of 8 Degrees is a testament to the work of Mitchelstown as a whole,” said Deputy Sherlock.
“We’re so lucky to have a world class brand on our doorstep in Mitchelstown like 8 Degrees. Their commitment to the town is a commitment to the people of Mitchelstown and one that should be a blueprint for other major towns in Ireland."
He said he is delighted that the recent Labour Party Bill on craft beers is progressing through the Oireachtas.
"This will greatly benefit 8 Degrees and other companies to boost the tourist potential of Mitchelstown and the surrounding region,” Deputy Sherlock concluded.
