Search continues in Castlemartyr wood for Tina

A major search operation continues at a section of woodland in Castlemartyr in East Cork in connection with the disappearance of Tina Satchwell who is a native of Fermoy town.

Richard Satchwell, Tina’s husband featured on Tuesday night’s PrimeTime programme on RTE and much of the filming was done in Fermoy on Tuesday during the day.

Speaking to The Avondhu on Tuesday, PrimeTime presenter Barry Cummins said they interviewed Richard for the programme in the local hotel in Fermoy and then they filmed him on the bridge in Fermoy and in Fermoy Town Park.

A photograph of Tina and Richard walking in Fermoy Town Park was published on The Avondhu in 2017 and so this was a poignant area for Richard to be filmed in on Tuesday.

“His main thing is that he does not believe that Tina was ever at the woods that’s being searched. He says he was never at it and he says that as far as he knows, she was never there,” Barry Cummins told The Avondhu.
