A second level student from Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy came out top of the pile in the Central Bank’s 75th Anniversary Student Art Competition.
The design from Sarah Murphy, was selected as the national winner in the Post Primary category, with Sarah attending the awards ceremony in the Central Bank Visitor Centre on Tuesday, 22 May.
Over 500 entries from across Ireland were judged on the basis of designs submitted for coins that were inspired by significant people or events from the past 75 years.
The designs of the national winners have been printed in 3D and will be exhibited in the Central Bank Visitor Centre throughout the 75th year.
