Limerick councillor Eddie Ryan, has lashed out at Micheal Martin, Niall Collins and the Fianna Fail party for what he calls ‘selfish and greedy’ treatment of his Dail campaign.
Cllr Ryan from Galbally was announced as running mate with Limerick poll topper Niall Collins on Monday night. Twelve hours later, Eddie Ryan had withdrawn.
He has revealed to The Avondhu that it followed ’32 months of confusion’ and he blames Sean Dorgan, Fianna Fail General Secretary, would-be Taoiseach Micheal Martin and Niall Collins for his withdrawal from the race.
In a scathing interview, he blasted the Fianna Fail party, hit out at Niall Collins and his family and took aim at party grandees who he said showed him a lack of respect.
“It was not a level playing field as far as Niall Collins and Eddie Ryan were concerned. He had my area combed.
