It is believed that The Grand Hotel in Fermoy may reopen to provide accommodation to those continuing to arrive in Ireland from wartorn Ukraine.
The town centre hotel, which boasts 12-ensuite bedrooms closed in early November 2019, reopening only briefly since to host a seasonal pop-up shop last Christmas.
Calls have been repeatedly extended for it to reopen to the public, following its unexpected closure.
