Rugby club ‘devastated’ following attack

The President of Mitchelstown Rugby Club has spoken of his club’s devastation after changing rooms were attacked by a crazed car driver. 

Gardaí are investigating after devastating damage was caused to a dressing room at Mitchelstown Rugby Club by a crazed driver on a crime spree. 

Owen Dawson said that the damage to the structure, a prefabricated changing room, would cost the club thousands of euro to replace.

They struck the rugby club first and then it is believed they made their way to a location, identified by gardaí as Clonlough, where they set fire to the car.
