Dr Joe Moran has worked to keep the people of Fermoy and Rathcormac safe for 26 years but as he retires there is one important message for the people of The Avondhu area to keep Covid-19 at bay.
Dr Moran, 68, has hung up his stethoscope after a four decade career that first began in 1976.
He has said that there are two important measures the general population can take to limit the spread of Covid-19.
“People are feeling powerless about Covid-19,” he said. “But there are two things they can do to help. They can wear a mask and download the app on to their phone. It will have a huge impact.
“There is no down side to either of these options – wear the mask and download the app.”
