The people of Kilworth have bonded together to bring the village what will be one of North Cork’s most impressive sporting arenas – largely funded by the community. 

The Sheila Flynn Park project by Kilworth Celtic FC is part of a multi disciplinary sport area within the heart of the village that includes soccer, pitch and putt, a sports complex, tennis courts and GAA.

Last December the club began the work of gathering the final funding through an imaginative fundraiser called The 100 Club.

The concept is a simple one, donate €100 and you will be one of 100 names on specialist plaques fixed permanently to the wall of the impressive and near complete clubhouse.
