Rathcormac man Alan Crinnion came to the rescue of a young woman last week when she flagged down his vehicle seeking help to escape from a man she claims was following her.
Alan, who works as a contract cleaner in Cork, makes his daily work commute from his home in Rathcormac through Watergrasshill. On his way home, the woman in question jumped into the path of his vehicle in an attempt to flag him down.
“I got a bit of a fright. There wasn’t a sinner around, and I’d say I was the first car she saw and she came out and flagged me down.
“She came right into my pathway and knocked on the door saying ‘please, please, can you help me?” Alan informed The Avondhu.
According to Alan, the young woman appeared distressed and panicked, as she told him that she was being followed by an individual.
