Rainbow over Fermoy & Mitchelstown

WHAT A SIGHT TO SEE: LGBT activists travelling in style during last Sunday's countywide Pride Parade. (Picture: John Ahern)

A rainbow-tinged red carpet was rolled out for the LGBT activists who passed through Fermoy and Mitchelstown last Sunday.

Both towns were delighted to be part of a regional Pride Parade, which traversed the county last weekend.

It may have been more of a motorised convoy than a parade, but that mattered little to the large number of supporters who were present to show their solidarity with a section of society, who were, for too long, marginalised.
