A public consultation meeting is set to take place in Coolagown regarding the community’s Biodiversity Action Plan.

The meeting is planned for Monday, August 14 from 7pm until 9pm, to be held at Kilmagner National School.

Speaking with The Avondhu, John Feeney of Coolagown Development Group explained that they have been working with Community Foundation Ireland and Cork Nature Network on the project since about early March.

Funding was granted through Community Foundation Ireland to put in place a Biodiversity Action Plan for the wider community, which then saw the local group getting in touch with Cork Nature Network to have surveys of local wildlife carried out.
