Public assembly at Lynch Camp as NATO assessment gets underway

A Military Engineering Combat Support Company are being evaluated at Lynch Camp in Kilworth using the NATO OCC Evaluation and Feedback Programme.

A ‘Peaceful Public Assembly’ was organised for Wednesday, July 19 outside Lynch camp in Kilworth as the Irish Defence Office confirmed that the Corps of Engineers are being assessed at the location by NATO evaluators as part of the Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC).

As the Cops of Engineers (COE) of the Irish Defence Forces celebrates its centenary year, a Military Engineering Combat Support Company (MILENG-CS-Coy) will be evaluated using the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Evaluation and Feedback Programme.

This OCC programme is a method of testing and ensuring military forces are organised, equipped and trained in accordance with NATO Standardized Agreements (STANAGs).
