It is a great achievement to have three science projects from Presentation Secondary School, Mitchelstown included for display at this year’s BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition which got under way on Wednesday of this week.
Sarah Kent and Sarah Burke’s project focuses on the diverse landscape in STEM industries throughout Ireland and the existing perceptions among women.
Mae McKenna, Julie Moran and Eadaoin Joy undertook a comparative study of whey and milk and their impact on the body’s recovery after exercise while Andrea Conway’s project centred around a childcare and safety app for babysitters.
Being selected for this competition takes commitment and dedication and the high standard of their work is testament to their great work ethic and passion for all things science.
Well done girls!
