Business owners in the Cork Road area of Fermoy have come together in an effort to fundraise for a defibrillator for the local area, in the interest of health and safety for both residents and local shoppers.
Over the coming weeks, the group of business owners, along with community leaders, will organise a number of fundraising events in our to purchase the defibrillator.
The group has approached a number of companies to cost the price of a defibrillator and once the cost has been established, they will begin organising fundraising events to meet their target.
The defibrillator will be installed on the outer wall of The Wagon Tavern on Emmet Street. All support for upcoming fundraising events would be greatly appreciated.
