The next stage of Rathcormac 2030 has received to go-ahead from Cork County Council, as planning for an innovation and learning centre was recently granted permission.
The multi-service innovation centre is to be located at ‘The Fair Green’ in the heart of the village, facilitated through the conversion and expansion of the old national school.
According to chairperson of Rathcormac Community Council (RCC), Bob Seward, the local council is ‘delighted’ with the news that the €4 million project has been granted permission.
“This is a critical part of our very ambitious Rathcormac 2030 plan which will revitalise and regenerate Rathcormac. It consists of several community-led projects which include major village public realm enhancement works under Cork County Council and a €1.4M RCC development of a community park and sports hub …”
