Raft crews were out bright and early for last Sunday’s annual run in aid of Blackwater Sub Aqua Club – home to the volunteer Blackwater Search & Rescue Unit who do such outstanding work all year round.
Ballyhooly was the start point and conditions were perfect for the down river run. As usual, plenty of imagination was used by vessel designers as they attempted to come up with a craft that was spacious, reasonably comfortable and hopefully, fast in the water – in this regard some teams were more successful than others.
