For residents living on Pike Road, Fermoy, trying to enter or leave their houses has become a dangerous task in recent years.
A deputation representing residents from Pike Road this week explained to the Fermoy Municipal Council monthly meeting, that traffic levels have increased exponentially in the area, and large articulated trucks have also taken to using the road as a shortcut to access the Amber service station nearby.
According to Kathleen Lee and Maura Galvin, who were representing residents of the area, the chief problem is the speed that drivers are travelling at.
