Fáilte Ireland has revealed its brand-new marketing campaign to businesses in the Cork tourist industry.

The National Tourism Development Authority is launching its new domestic holiday campaign to the public from mid-February, but the Cork tourism businesses were invited to attend an early sneak preview.

The industry representatives were also given insights on how to leverage the campaign for the benefit of their business and the local region.

Called ‘Keep Discovering’, the €6 million Fáilte Ireland investment in the campaign development and execution aims to grow the domestic tourism market by reminding people of all there is to discover across the country.

Visit Cork, the official tourism body in Cork, announced ambitious plans at the event to increase the number of overseas visitors to the Cork region by a further 8-10% per annum.

The French tourism market is the 4th largest market to Ireland, after the UK, US and Germany, generating 5.4 million bed nights with a 10.2 night average length of stay.

Visit Cork also facilitated 10 overseas media trips to Cork in 2019.

The event took place in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Little Island.
