Heritage Week 2019 had a distinctly Georgian air about it, with a celebration of the 18th century era in Mitchelstown.

Costumes, plus-fours, bonnets and picnic blankets were the order of the day as crowds descended on the historic Kingston College for ‘A Picnic with the Georgians’.

A series of fun family activities included lawn tennis, badminton, croquet and archery were laid on.

Some local artistic creations were on display as well as people getting the opportunity to practice regency crafts such as feathering and shellwork.
