Park United AFC has served the people of Mitchelstown and surrounding areas for more than 40 years and now it is set to undergo a major modernisation plan with new pitches and facilities.
Sean Keane, chairman of the club, said that to make this dream a reality, the club has formulated a 10-year plan to launch a large-scale programme of development that will happen over two stages.
They have now applied for planning permission for phase one – to replace the existing senior grass pitch with a state of the art full Astroturf pitch including floodlights, fencing and pathways.
