Opening weekend for the Hillside Players

The opening weekend of the latest production by the Hillside Players – ‘Dying to Meet You’ – a hilarious 2-act comedy by Ron Hutson has finally arrived. This production will run over 2 weekends from Thursday 25th – Sunday, 28th January and Thursday 1st – Sunday, 4th February in the Ardpatrick Community Centre. Curtain up at 8pm sharp!

ABOUT THE PLAY

Richard and Barbara are a happily married couple whose lives are a bit humdrum now that their two children have left home. Their neighbours Tom and Beryl are on good terms with them and the trouble starts when Tom suggests to Richard a way of making money by renting out their spare room to someone. What could possibly go wrong with the arrival of prospective tenants, some from overseas and their family affairs!

We welcome some new faces to the Hillside Players this year along with our much-loved and familiar faces. The cast includes Tom Murphy, Annette Crowley, Éanna Quish, Lily Enright, Pa Ahern, Orla O’Dwyer, Jennifer Nunan, and Pat O’Dwyer. This hilarious play is directed by John Shanahan.
