The Frank Morgan Film Club, who recently launched at a tribute night to the late Fermoy film producer and photographer, held its first club meeting at The Palace Theatre last Thursday night.
The members were treated to a night of nostalgia,'Old Grumpy and Mary B' a film made by Frank in 1976 and written and directed by him was screened, which told the story of the relationship between a lonely old man and a little girl.
The audience welcomed Richie Lee who played the priest in the film. Richie expressed his delight at being at the screening, he was saddened by the absence of his life long friend, but delighted this new club has been set up in Frank’s name.
He will be back again in the audience on Thursday, October 18 to view another of Frank films …
