West Waterford is to get a new litter warden. The appointment is about to be made, the recent meeting of the Lismore’s Joint Policing Committee was told. New town manager Paul Daly gave the news, observing that the area hadn’t had a litter warden for some time. “It’s badly needed, the amount of litter being left along rural roads here is terrible,” Councillor Bernard Leddy commented.
