Xinhang Yan, a student at Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy, has been identified by the State Examination Commission as a high achiever in Science and Maths in this year’s Junior Certificate.  

From this pool of talented students, six students are chosen to represent Ireland at the International Junior Science Olympiad in Bali, Indonesia in December 2016 and six students to represent Ireland at the European Union Science Olympiad in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2017.

The national Olympiad competitions will be held in Dublin City University in October.

Xinhang will take part in these competitions aiming to be one of the top six achievers in order to represent Ireland.
