An 02 registered Nissan Almera car which was crashed at Newgrove, Glanworth when it mounted a ditch some weeks ago now, has been the subject of some speculation as to why the vehicle has not been removed.
It is believed the car was being chased by gardai when the crash happened and that the occupant/s absconded on foot. People are curious as to why the vehicle which appears to have tax/insurance/MOT displayed, has not been removed.
A ‘free parking’ sign was placed alongside it some time ago, obviously hinting at the length of time it had been left there.
The Avondhu was unable to get comment from the Garda authorities on the matter up to the time of going to press.
