Additional Gardaí have been sought for the Lismore District in the hopes of gaining an increased Garda presence in the locality to help stamp out anti-social behaviour.

Speaking with The Avondhu, Tallow councillor John Pratt welcomed the new sergeant to the area, however, noted that with the recent bouts of anti-social behaviour in Lismore, Dungarvan and elsewhere, an increased Garda presence is needed.
