Sixth-class pupils of Bunscoil na Toirbhirte in Mitchelstown have created a "model village" of local businesses to support their reopening following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.

Using photography, drawing and modelling skills, the girls took a tour of the town to photograph local shops, used these photos to draw sketches, and then used cardboard boxes donated by a local business to make a large, colourful streetscape of Mitchelstown's businesses.

With the help of their class teacher, Niamh Walsh, the girls used paints to complete their models.
