It was revealed in the draft budget of the Fermoy Municipal District this week that the ‘Superloo’ in Mitchelstown is costing Cork County Council €37,000 per year.

This was compared to the permanent facility in Fermoy which is costing in the region of €13,000 per year. 

Speaking at the budget meeting on Tuesday last, Cllr Noel McCarthy asked Cork County Council if they would consider building a permanent toilet facility in Mitchelstown in order to reduce the annual costs in the long term.
