Mitchelstown Lawn Tennis Club have launched their newest venture, the 50/50 draw, which will be the only draw in the town with a guaranteed cash winner every two weeks.

This draw will hopefully bring with it a boost for the development of the club, as each week, half of the money from the draw will go to the lucky winner, while the other half will go towards the club development fund.

The first draw will take place in the George's Street headquarters on Friday, May 16 at 9pm with the draws taking place fortnightly on Friday nights in the club thereafter.

"We have so much potential for development in the club, this new initiative should be used as the massive opportunity that it is, to raise the much needed funds required to make our club great," a club spokesperson said.

Tickets for €2 can be purchased from any committee members and also from local outlets including: The Hunter's Rest, Two Shoes, Mr Mister, Chuzzlewits barbers, An Bodhran, Walsh's Bar, Jackie O'Briens, Flowers By Una, The Clongibbon, Supermacs, Tod's Bar, Amber and The Doll's House.

A yearly ticket for €50 can also be purchased and there will be a draw on the first night, for all those who have paid the yearly ticket price. All support for this new draw would be greatly appreciated.
