While some people claim to be bothered by swallows attempting to set up home in their patch, most people embrace the idea. One such person is Bill Shannon of Mitchelstown who was recently surprised to find that a swallow had built its nest on top of a small plastic putty tub in an outhouse.

Bill is keenly awaiting the arrival of the chicks, the five eggs snug in the safety of the Shannon home!
