‘Massive crisis’ due to lack of space at Fermoy Educate Together NS

Situated on Waterloo Road, in the ground floor of the Former Gaelscoil, Fermoy Educate Together NS are 'in crisis' due to a lack of space to accommodate pupils.

Fermoy Educate Together National School has stated that they are facing a ‘massive crisis’ which they claim has been ignored by the Department of Education.

In a statement issued by principal Toni Maguire this week, it was noted that the school is rapidly expanding – having started with just three children in 2018, it now has a predicted enrolment of 96 children for the upcoming school year.

Based on the bottom floor of the old Gaelscoil building, the school has become a place of ‘love, nurture and acceptance’ and sees 62% of the school community identifying with learning needs.
