The Avondhu understands that the recently installed CCTV cameras along Fermoy bridge and in the centre of the town have already helped gardaí arrest two people charged with attempted burglary.
Following an unsuccessful burglary attempt at a house in St James’ Place on the northside of the town, two people fled the scene and were followed on the street by the owner.
