Uisce Éireann has completed works to replace over one kilometre of water mains in Fair Street in Mallow. The investment of €1.9 million, saw the installation of new larger, modern pipes which will support future growth and development in the town, including the potential development of 130 new homes. The completion of this vital project will also address bursts and leakage.
To safely and efficiently deliver this project, and to minimise disruption for the local community, works were carried out in two phases on L-1207 Fair Street, Mallow. The road closures that were required to deliver the network upgrade took place over the summer months to lessen the impact on schools in the area.
